AroundDeal Review

AroundDeal sells B2B contact and company data through a self-serve platform, custom bulk datasets, and a 20-endpoint API for enrichment and identity resolution.

AroundDeal has repositioned itself. What used to be marketed as a sales-and-recruiting prospecting tool with an AI browser extension now presents as a "B2B data infrastructure" company, built around three products: a self-serve search platform, custom bulk data delivery, and an API suite called API Matrix. This review is based on AroundDeal's current site as of July 2026, since that's what a buyer signing up today will actually get.

Verdict at a glance

Best forSales/marketing teams that want structured B2B search now, with room to graduate to bulk data or API access later
Starting priceFree (3 contact credits/month); $49/user/month for VIP
Real cost$0.49 per contact credit on VIP (100 credits ÷ $49); Custom Data and API Matrix are quote-only
Setup speedSelf-serve signup on Free or VIP; Custom Data and API access require a sales conversation
Standout featureAPI Matrix — 20 endpoints spanning enrichment, identity resolution, and non-financial risk/compliance signals
Biggest caveatNo independently verifiable review data at publication time; database size and accuracy aren't disclosed
Third-party ratingVendor claims a 4.8/5 G2 score on its own homepage; we could not independently confirm this

What is AroundDeal today?

AroundDeal's current site organizes around three products rather than one tool. The self-serve Platform is a search-and-export interface for company and contact data, gated by monthly contact credits. Custom Data is a bulk-delivery arrangement for teams that need datasets scoped to specific markets, fields, or refresh schedules, negotiated directly with sales. API Matrix is a suite of 20 API endpoints grouped into enrichment, search, identity resolution, company intelligence, and risk/compliance categories, pitched as "AI-ready" infrastructure for teams building their own pipelines rather than working inside a dashboard.

Notably absent from the current site is any mention of the AI browser extension or recruiting/candidate-sourcing angle that earlier marketing emphasized — the sitemap has no browser-extension or recruiting page, and the homepage doesn't reference either. If those were part of AroundDeal's product when you last looked, treat that as outdated; the current positioning is squarely B2B sales and marketing data.

How it works

Sign-up for Free or VIP is self-serve: you get a monthly credit allowance, search with structured filters across company and contact profiles, and export what your credits cover. Free allows exactly one export; VIP removes that ceiling. Beyond self-serve volume, AroundDeal routes you to Custom Data, priced per engagement. API Matrix is the automation path: 20 endpoints (enrichment, search, identity, company intelligence, risk/compliance) called directly from your own systems, priced on call volume.

The real math: VIP works out to $0.49 per contact credit, assuming a credit unlocks one full contact record — reasonably cheap if it includes verified email and phone. The pricing page also advertises "save $98/year" on annual billing without showing the annual price directly; against $49 × 12 = $588, that implies an effective rate near $490/year, or about $40.83/month — an inference from the discount messaging, not a confirmed line item. Free's 3 credits/month is a product trial, not a usable prospecting allowance. Custom Data and API Matrix have no public pricing, so expect a sales cycle before knowing the real cost of either.

What we could and couldn't verify

We fetched AroundDeal's live homepage, pricing page, platform page, and API Matrix page directly, and those are the source for the facts above. We could not independently verify third-party sentiment: G2 and Trustpilot both blocked automated access, Capterra had no listing at the URL tried, and this session's search budget was exhausted before Reddit or cached G2 snippets could be checked. AroundDeal's homepage states it has the "highest score in data availability, performance and reliability on G2" at 4.8/5 — a vendor claim we could not corroborate, not a verified independent rating. We also found no confirmed data on database size, accuracy rate, or country coverage; AroundDeal doesn't publish those numbers on the pages we could reach.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Real free tier plus a low $49/month entry point for paid access
  • Three-tier structure (self-serve, bulk, API) lets a team start small and scale without switching vendors
  • API Matrix covers unusually broad ground for the price point — enrichment, identity resolution, and risk/compliance in one suite
  • GDPR-aligned and CCPA-compliant handling stated on the pricing page
  • Vendor claims particular depth in APAC and emerging markets, a common gap for US-centric competitors

Cons

  • No independently verified reviews found — the 4.8/5 G2 figure is a vendor claim, not a confirmed rating
  • Database size, accuracy rate, and coverage detail aren't published
  • Free plan's 3 credits/month and single export are only enough to evaluate the product, not to run outreach
  • Custom Data and API Matrix are quote-only, so real cost at scale is unknown until you talk to sales

AroundDeal alternatives

  • Apollo — broader all-in-one prospecting and sequencing platform at a similar starting price, with a larger published user base
  • Clay — enrichment-and-workflow tool that stitches together multiple data providers rather than one proprietary dataset
  • ZoomInfo — the enterprise incumbent; far pricier, larger disclosed database, longer review history
  • Cognism — positions specifically on GDPR-compliant EU/UK mobile numbers
  • Lusha — comparable credit-based self-serve pricing
  • Seamless.AI — real-time search model competing directly on self-serve contact lookup

Who should use AroundDeal — and who shouldn't

Good fit: teams that want to start free or at $49/month and later graduate to bulk data or API access without re-platforming; teams prospecting into APAC or other non-US markets where AroundDeal claims added depth; technical teams that want programmatic access to enrichment and identity-resolution endpoints rather than a search UI.

Poor fit: buyers who need an audited accuracy figure or a substantial public review base before committing — that evidence isn't available yet; anyone specifically looking for a browser extension or recruiting/candidate-sourcing workflow, since neither appears in the current product lineup despite earlier marketing describing them; teams that need Custom Data or API pricing up front rather than after a sales call.
