Automatio started as a no-code web scraping tool; the vendor site now describes a broader product called Automatio AI, built around 11 specialized AI agents and 50+ tools that handle scraping, email, spreadsheets, calendars, and more from plain-English prompts. This review covers what the current version does, what it costs, and what we could and couldn't confirm independently.
| Best for | Solo operators and small agencies who want scraping plus general task automation in one no-code tool |
| Starting price | Free (500 credits); paid plans start at $36/month for 110,000 credits |
| Real cost note | Credit cost scales linearly at $0.33 per 1,000 credits, but the vendor doesn't publish how many credits a typical scrape or email task consumes |
| Setup speed | Chrome extension install plus a plain-English task description; no DNS or infrastructure setup involved |
| Standout feature | 11 AI agents routed automatically, covering scraping, Gmail, Sheets, Calendar, and more in one interface |
| Biggest caveat | No independent review data (G2, Trustpilot, Capterra) was accessible to verify vendor claims |
| Third-party rating | Not verifiable — see below |
The product on automatio.ai (automatio.co now redirects there) has moved past pure web scraping. It's pitched as "your AI team for any automation": 11 named agents (Web & SEO, Gmail, Google Sheets, Calendar, Ghost CMS, Voting, Crypto, Image Generation, Coding, Browser Automation, and a General agent) sit behind a single natural-language interface, backed by more than 50 built-in tools. You describe a task in plain English, and the system routes it to the right agent or chains several together.
For cold-outreach and growth teams, the practical use cases carried over from the original scraping product: pulling prospect lists from directories, monitoring competitor pages, and batch-processing up to 1,000+ URLs via AI-generated browser scripts. What's new is that the same account can also manage Gmail, update Google Sheets, or handle scheduling, which widens the tool well beyond a scraper.
Setup is a Chrome extension install plus an account. The extension is advertised as privacy-focused — it runs locally and credentials reportedly don't leave the machine, though we could not independently verify that claim beyond the vendor's own description. Once installed, you either describe a task conversationally or build a scraping flow visually, then run it in the browser or schedule it to run on a recurring basis. The vendor markets scheduled workflows as having "zero idle compute costs," implying credits are consumed only when a workflow actually runs, not while it sits idle.
| Plan | Monthly price | Credits included | Effective rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 500 credits | N/A (one-time) |
| Expert | $36 | 110,000 | ~$0.33 per 1,000 credits |
| Enterprise | Custom | Unlimited | Custom |
The Expert plan is also sold in 50K, 250K, and 800K credit sizes at the same $0.33-per-1,000-credit rate. Doing the math at that rate: a 50K allotment runs about $16.50/month, and an 800K allotment runs about $264/month, scaling roughly linearly with the 110K/$36 anchor.
What's missing from the pricing page — and worth knowing before you buy — is any published table of how many credits a given action costs. A single scrape of a simple page, an email sent through the Gmail agent, and a multi-step agent chain presumably consume different amounts of credit, but the vendor doesn't disclose the conversion, so it's not possible to estimate a real per-task cost the way you can with a flat per-mailbox or per-lead price. Budget for testing your actual workflow against the free tier's 500 credits before committing to a paid plan.
We could verify the current feature set and pricing tiers directly from automatio.ai. We could not find independent third-party review data: G2's review page returned an access block, Trustpilot's page returned an access block, and Capterra had no listing under Automatio's name. We also did not find Reddit threads discussing the tool. The testimonials shown on the vendor's own homepage — from named founders and CTOs — are self-published by Automatio and not verifiable as a representative sample, so we're not treating them as independent evidence either way. In short: no meaningful independent sentiment exists yet for the current Automatio AI product, positive or negative. Treat vendor claims about privacy, accuracy, and time savings as unverified until you test them on your own data.
Pros
Cons
Good fit: solo founders, growth hackers, and small teams who want one no-code tool that scrapes prospect data and also handles adjacent busywork like email and spreadsheet updates, and who are comfortable testing credit usage on the free tier before scaling up.
Poor fit: teams that need a dedicated, deeply specialized scraper for complex or high-volume extraction jobs; anyone who needs verified third-party reliability data before committing (none currently exists); and buyers who want fully transparent, predictable per-task pricing rather than an opaque credit system.
