Chatsheet Review

Chatsheet connects LinkedIn, your CRM, and other sources so you can request sourcing or research in plain language and turn repeat asks into automations.

Chatsheet has repositioned since it was first listed here. What used to be pitched as an AI spreadsheet for research, content, and PDF parsing is now marketed as a plain-language replacement for the "GTM stack" — the Clay-plus-Apollo-plus-Instantly-plus-Zapier combination that recruiting, lead gen, and venture teams duct-tape together. This review covers the current version of the product, what it verifiably costs, and where the evidence runs out.

Verdict at a glance

Best forRecruiting, lead gen, and venture teams sourcing candidates, prospects, or deals from connected data sources
Starting priceFree tier (500 credits on sign-up); paid plans start at $19/month (Plus)
Real cost noteTeam and Scale plans carry per-seat minimums — $145/month floor for Team, $1,997/month floor for Scale — regardless of how many people you actually need
Setup speedAdvertised as "connect once," but actual onboarding time depends on how many sources (LinkedIn, CRM, social) you link
Standout featureRequests are plain-language chat/Slack messages, not query builders or configured pipelines
Biggest caveatNo independent reviews (G2, Trustpilot, Capterra) found anywhere; the vendor's own pricing page and homepage currently describe two different plan structures
Third-party ratingNone found — see verification section below

What kind of tool is Chatsheet?

Chatsheet's current pitch is that finding and qualifying people — candidates, prospects, or investment targets — shouldn't require stitching together five separate tools with five separate credit systems. You connect your data sources (LinkedIn, CRM, X, and others), then type a request in plain language, such as asking it to find backend engineers in your network who've worked at marketplaces. Chatsheet says it searches across connected sources, ranks the matches, and can push the results straight into a CRM pipeline or a Slack channel. Earlier vendor copy described a more general-purpose "AI spreadsheet" for research, content creation, and document parsing, aimed at broader teams; the current homepage narrows the pitch specifically to recruiting, lead gen, and venture sourcing use cases. Worth knowing if you were evaluating it as a general spreadsheet-automation tool — that's not the current front-door pitch.

How it works

The advertised flow is three steps: connect your tools (Chatsheet says it handles the integration, syncing, and data normalization), ask a question in plain language rather than building a formula or query, and optionally turn that request into a recurring automated workflow that pushes new matches to your CRM or Slack on a schedule. There's no vendor-published detail on which specific CRMs or data providers are supported beyond the general categories advertised (LinkedIn, CRM, X), so confirm your specific stack is covered before buying.

Chatsheet pricing (2026)

PlanPriceCreditsNotes
Free$0/month500 credits on sign-upOne-time allotment plus a free first template run, not a recurring monthly amount as far as the pricing page states
Plus$19/month5,000 credits/monthSingle-seat, all AI features
Team$29/person/month50,000 credits/month/team5-person minimum — $145/month even if you only need 2 or 3 seats
Scale$99/person/month900,000 credits/month/team20-person minimum — $1,997/month floor

The per-seat sticker prices understate the real entry cost for teams: Team's $29/person rate only applies once you're paying for 5 seats, and Scale's $99/person rate requires committing to 20. A 3-person team that wants Team-tier credits is actually paying the 5-person minimum, i.e. $145/month, not $87. Separately, Chatsheet's own homepage currently advertises a different pricing structure — a pay-as-you-go "Pro" tier with unlimited seats and rolling-over credits, plus a custom "Managed" tier — that doesn't match the named Free/Plus/Team/Scale plans on the dedicated pricing page. We could not reconcile the two; treat whichever page you're quoted from as the one that counts and get current numbers confirmed at checkout.

What we could and couldn't verify

We could verify current plan names, prices, and credit allotments directly from chatsheet.com's pricing page, and the stated integrations and workflow description from the homepage. We could not find any independent Chatsheet reviews: no G2 or Capterra listing, no Trustpilot page, and no meaningful Reddit discussion turned up in search — only a low-view YouTube walkthrough and a competitor-run review blog, neither of which counts as verifiable third-party sentiment. That absence isn't itself a red flag for a smaller or repositioning product, but it does mean there's no outside evidence yet on deliverability of match quality, support responsiveness, or account stability — go in expecting to be an early adopter of the current product direction, not a company with a track record you can check.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Plain-language requests instead of formulas, query builders, or configured pipelines
  • One connection step per data source, with results pushed to CRM or Slack automatically
  • Free tier lets you try the workflow before paying
  • Clear, published credit-based pricing on the dedicated pricing page

Cons

  • No independent reviews anywhere we could find — no outside validation of match quality or reliability
  • Team and Scale plans carry seat minimums that create a much higher real floor cost than the per-seat price implies
  • Homepage and pricing page currently describe inconsistent plan structures
  • No public detail on which specific CRMs or data providers are supported

Chatsheet alternatives

  • Clay — the enrichment and workflow-automation tool Chatsheet explicitly positions itself against; more configurable, but requires building the waterfalls Chatsheet says it replaces.
  • Apollo — prospecting database with built-in sequencing; a better fit if you want the contact data and outbound sending in one place.
  • Rows — AI-native spreadsheet with built-in web and AI functions for teams that still want a familiar grid interface.
  • Bardeen — browser-based automation that pulls data from LinkedIn and other sites into workflows without full pipeline setup.
  • Make — general-purpose workflow automation for teams that want full control over the pipeline Chatsheet abstracts away.

Who should use Chatsheet — and who shouldn't

Good fit: recruiting and staffing teams that want candidate sourcing across LinkedIn and their ATS without a dedicated sourcer; lead gen agencies matching prospects to multiple clients' ICPs; venture teams that want deal flow surfaced from their existing network instead of built by hand.

Poor fit: teams that need a general-purpose AI spreadsheet for arbitrary research or content work — the current product pitch is narrower than that; anyone who needs to see independent reviews or a support track record before committing budget; teams with a hard 2-3 person headcount who don't want to pay a 5-seat minimum for Team-tier credits.
