EmailListValidation (ELV) is a pay-as-you-go email verification service: upload a list or connect the API, and it strips out invalid, risky, and spam-trap addresses before you send. This review covers what's verified on the vendor's own site, what the real cost looks like per email, and what we could not independently confirm.
| Best for | Marketers and sales teams who want to pay for verification in credits rather than a recurring seat license |
| Starting price | $19 for 2,500 credits (pay-as-you-go), or from $229/month on the subscription tier |
| Real cost per email | $0.0076 at the smallest tier, dropping to roughly $0.001 at 1M+ credits |
| Setup speed | Signup gives 100 free credits with no card required; bulk uploads process without a lengthy onboarding flow |
| Standout feature | Credits carry no expiration date, unusual in a category that often uses monthly seat pricing |
| Biggest caveat | Inbox placement and blacklist monitoring are a separate paid subscription (Deliverability Toolkit), not included with verification credits |
| Third-party rating | Vendor states 4.8/5 from 400+ Trustpilot reviews and 80,000+ users; we could not independently confirm this figure (see below) |
ELV is a single-purpose tool: it checks whether an email address is real, reachable, and safe to mail, then reports back a clean/risky/invalid verdict per address. The verification layer covers syntax checks, MX/MTA domain lookups, dead-domain detection, real-time SMTP pinging, spam-trap and complainer-list matching, and role-account flagging (info@, admin@, etc.). It sits upstream of a sequencer or ESP rather than replacing one — you clean a list here, then send from wherever you already send.
A second, separately sold layer — the Deliverability Toolkit — adds inbox placement testing across Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, and Yahoo, plus blacklist monitoring. That split matters for budgeting: the verification credits and the monitoring subscription are two different purchases.
Signup grants 100 free verification credits with no card required, enough to test accuracy on a small sample before buying. From there you either upload a CSV for bulk cleaning, verify addresses one at a time, or hit the REST API/webhooks for real-time verification at the point of capture (useful for signup forms). Results can be filtered and downloaded by risk category. Native integrations cover HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Mailgun, SendGrid, Mad Mimi, and Sendloop; anything else goes through the API.
| Volume | Pay-as-you-go price | Per-email cost |
|---|---|---|
| 2,500 | $19 | $0.0076 |
| 10,000 | $59 | $0.0059 |
| 25,000 | $99 | $0.00396 |
| 100,000 | $299 | $0.00299 |
| 500,000 | $699 | $0.001398 |
| 1,000,000 | $1,099 | $0.001099 |
Two things worth flagging before you buy: first, the per-email rate is not perfectly monotonic — the 5,000-credit tier ($39, $0.0078/email) is very slightly worse value than the 2,500-credit tier ($19, $0.0076/email), so jumping straight to a bigger block isn't automatically cheaper at every step. Second, the vendor advertises a monthly subscription running roughly 20-30% below one-time pricing (100,000 credits at $229/month versus $299 as a one-time purchase), but that's a recurring charge, and the site does not publish what happens to unused monthly credits — confirm rollover terms directly with the vendor before committing to the subscription over pay-as-you-go credits that are confirmed to never expire. Third, budget separately for the Deliverability Toolkit ($49-$690/month) if you want inbox placement or blacklist monitoring — it is not bundled with verification credits at any tier.
We confirmed pricing, feature lists, and integrations directly from the vendor's site. We could not independently verify the vendor's claimed 4.8/5 Trustpilot rating from 400+ reviews or the 80,000+ user figure — Trustpilot and G2 blocked automated access during this research pass, and no accessible Reddit threads discussing this specific tool turned up. That is not evidence the rating is wrong; it means we're reporting a vendor-stated number rather than something we read ourselves, and readers should check Trustpilot directly before treating it as settled. The claimed 99%+ accuracy and "100% money-back guarantee" are likewise vendor claims we could not test against independent data.
Pros
Cons
All five do fundamentally the same job — syntax, MX, SMTP, and risk checks — so accuracy on your specific list and price at your volume are the real differentiators, not feature checklists.
Good fit: teams that send in bursts rather than continuously and want credits that don't expire between campaigns; sales teams already on HubSpot or ActiveCampaign who want a direct integration; anyone who wants to test accuracy on their own list with 100 free credits before paying.
Poor fit: teams that need inbox placement monitoring bundled in in the base price (budget for the separate Deliverability Toolkit); high-volume senders who haven't compared per-email cost against Emailable or ZeroBounce at the same tier; anyone who needs a Trustpilot rating confirmed by an independent source rather than the vendor's own citation.
