Gan Review

Gan (formerly Gan.ai) turns one recording into a reusable AI avatar, generating lip-synced, personalized videos for outreach, ads, and training at scale.

Gan is an AI video platform built around one idea: record yourself once, then let the software generate a personalized, lip-synced version of that video for every recipient, language, or ad variation you need. The company was previously known as Gan.ai — the old domain now redirects to gan.studio, and the product itself has not fundamentally changed. This review covers what the platform actually offers, what its pricing looks like, and what independent evidence exists about it, since there isn't much.

Verdict at a glance

Best forSales and marketing teams that want personalized, camera-free video at scale
Starting priceFree plan (10 videos); paid plans from $30/month (Creator)
Real costJumps from $30/month straight to $249/month — no mid-tier, and CRM integrations only arrive on the top plan

Biggest caveatThe public pricing page on gan.studio currently returns a 404 — figures below come from a recent third-party review, not a live vendor page
Third-party rating4.9/5 on G2, but from only 27 reviews

What is Gan?

Gan generates two related things: personalized outreach videos and AI-produced ad content. For outreach, you record a short video once; Gan builds an avatar from it that can then say anything, in any of 70+ supported languages, with lip movements and voice matched to the new script. For ads, it produces cinematic or UGC-style product videos without a camera crew or a hired creator, aiming for brand-consistent logos, fonts, and on-screen text across every variation.

The pitch for cold outreach specifically: instead of a generic template email, a prospect gets a video that appears to address them by name, without a rep re-recording anything.

How it works

You create or upload an avatar from a short recording, then use a drag-and-drop editor to add script, B-roll, images, and brand assets — no editing background required. Gan's site advertises a REST API, a Zapier connector, webhooks, and SDKs, plus 10+ out-of-the-box integrations for triggering video generation from a CRM or outreach tool. A separate review source (not the vendor) specifically names HubSpot and Salesforce as integrations gated behind the top-tier plan.

Pricing (as reported, mid-2026)

Gan's own site no longer displays a public pricing page — navigating to gan.studio/pricing returns a 404, and the homepage only advertises a free plan. The figures below come from a third-party review published in May 2026, which describes a four-tier structure that matches numbers we found independently for the tool under its prior Gan.ai branding:

PlanMonthly priceAnnual priceIncluded
Free$010 personalized videos
Creator$30$24/month20 personalization credits/month
Growth$249$199/month1,000 credits/month, CRM integrations, API
EnterpriseCustomCustomCustom volume and support

The real-cost issue is the gap between tiers: Creator's 20 monthly credits is thin for any serious outbound volume, but the next step up is more than 8x the price. There's no middle option, and CRM integrations don't appear until Growth — so a team that outgrows Creator's credit limit but doesn't need 1,000 videos a month still has to pay for the $249 tier to get HubSpot or Salesforce access. Because we could not load a current pricing page directly, treat these numbers as reported rather than freshly vendor-confirmed, and verify current pricing before budgeting against it.

What we could and couldn't verify

We could verify, directly on gan.studio: the feature set (avatars, lip-sync, cinematic ads, UGC generation, multi-language support, integrations), the existence of a free plan, and the company's rebrand from Gan.ai to Gan Studio Inc.

We could not verify current pricing on a live vendor page, since it 404s. We also could not find any discussion of Gan on Reddit (r/coldemail, r/sales, or general search turned up nothing specific to this tool), and no Trustpilot listing. The only third-party sentiment we found is a G2 listing at 4.9/5 from 27 reviews — consistent across the G2 listing itself and independent citations of it — plus a 5.0 rating from just 4 reviews on Product Hunt. Both are real but too small to treat as a settled verdict either way. There is no independent, large-sample review base for this tool at the time of writing.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Genuine one-time recording to reusable avatar workflow — no re-shooting for new scripts or languages
  • Lip-sync and voice cloning quality is the specific feature independent reviewers call out as strong
  • Free plan lets you test real output before paying
  • Broad language support (70+ global, 22 Indic) out of the box

Cons

  • Public pricing page is currently unreachable (404), which makes budgeting harder to confirm
  • Large price jump between Creator ($30) and Growth ($249) with no mid-tier
  • CRM integrations gated behind the most expensive plan
  • Independent review base is small (27 on G2, 4 on Product Hunt) — not enough volume to fully trust
  • No LinkedIn-side automation; this is a video generator, not a full sequencer

Gan alternatives

Gan competes in AI avatar and personalized video, a different category from inbox infrastructure or sequencing, so the comparison set below is other video-generation tools rather than outreach infrastructure:

  • Synthesia — the largest enterprise AI avatar platform, broader language and avatar library, generally higher price point
  • HeyGen — popular general-purpose AI avatar and video translation tool with a large free tier
  • Yepic AI — similar personalized-avatar pitch, positioned more toward marketing and training use cases
  • Potion — built specifically for sales video personalization at the top of a cold outreach sequence, a narrower and often cheaper option
  • Weezly — combines personalized video with meeting scheduling for outbound reps

Who should use Gan — and who shouldn't

Good fit: sales and marketing teams that want to personalize outreach video without re-recording per prospect, agencies producing many ad or UGC variations from one script, and L&D teams needing the same training video in multiple languages.

Poor fit: teams that need a settled, well-documented track record before committing budget (the review base is still thin); teams whose volume sits awkwardly between the Creator and Growth tiers, since there's no middle plan; and anyone expecting CRM integrations at the entry price point.
