MailerCheck Review

MailerCheck is MailerLite's credit-based email verification tool, testing inbox placement and spam-trigger content for $10 per 1,000 credits.

MailerCheck is MailerLite's standalone email-hygiene product: a credit-based tool for scrubbing invalid addresses out of a list, checking whether a campaign is likely to land in spam, and validating addresses in real time as they're collected. This review covers what's verifiable on the current site, what the credit math actually costs at different volumes, and where the evidence runs thin.

What is MailerCheck?

MailerCheck checks the health of an email list and, separately, the deliverability odds of a send. On the list side, it flags invalid, risky, and role-based addresses so a sender isn't paying to email addresses that will bounce or trip spam filters. On the deliverability side, it offers two point-in-time tests rather than ongoing monitoring: Email Insights scans a message for spam-trigger wording, broken links, and blocklist hits, and Inbox Placement sends a test message to seeded accounts at Gmail, AOL, Yahoo, and other major providers to report where it actually lands.

The product is built by MailerLite. Its own about page describes the team as "a team behind outstanding online products and creators of leading email marketing software," and MailerCheck is positioned as the verification layer that complements MailerLite's sending platform rather than a fully separate business.

How it works

Setup is upload-and-go: paste or upload a list, or point a signup form at the real-time API, and MailerCheck returns a status per address. Email Insights and Inbox Placement are separate, single-run tests rather than always-on monitors — you submit a specific email or template and get back one report, not a recurring watch on a domain's reputation. There's no DNS configuration, domain connection, or ongoing dashboard alert system involved; it's a verification and testing tool, not infrastructure.

MailerCheck pricing (2026)

PlanPriceWhat it buysPer-unit cost
Free$010 credits, verification only
Pay As You Go$10 minimum1,000 credits ($0.01 each)$0.01/email verified

Credits are shared across all three billable actions, and the vendor's pricing page lists no bulk discount tier — the rate is $0.01 per credit whether you buy 1,000 or 100,000. That matters for real-cost math:

  • Verifying 5,000 contacts costs 5,000 credits, or $50.
  • Running 3 Inbox Placement tests (200 credits each) adds $6.
  • Running 2 Email Insights checks on subject lines/templates adds $4.
  • A pre-campaign routine like that lands around $60 for one list, with no subscription — but also no discount for doing it every month at scale, since credits are priced flat regardless of volume purchased.

MailerCheck's terms also state no refunds are given except when MailerCheck itself fails to deliver the service — worth knowing before buying a large credit block speculatively.

What we could — and couldn't — verify

We could confirm current pricing, credit costs, and feature scope directly from MailerCheck's live site and its features and about pages. We could not access G2 or Trustpilot listings for MailerCheck during this research pass — both blocked automated access — and a broader review-sentiment search wasn't available in this session. That means we have no independently sourced rating, review count, or documented complaint themes to report, and we're not going to invent any. Treat the absence of third-party evidence here as a gap, not as a signal either way about quality; if you're evaluating MailerCheck, check G2 and Trustpilot directly for current ratings before deciding.

We also could not confirm the ongoing DMARC-monitoring and standalone blocklist-monitoring features that some older third-party writeups attribute to MailerCheck. The current site describes blocklist checking as part of a one-time Email Insights test, not a recurring monitor — so if continuous domain-health alerting is what you need, verify that specific capability with MailerCheck support before buying credits for it.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Pay-as-you-go credits with no subscription commitment and no expiry
  • Free 10-credit trial with no card required
  • Combines list verification with content and placement testing in one credit pool
  • Native integrations with MailerLite and common ESPs (Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, GetResponse, ConvertKit) plus Zapier and Make
  • Real-time API for validating addresses at capture, not just in bulk

Cons

  • No bulk discount on credits — cost per email doesn't improve at scale
  • Inbox Placement and Email Insights are one-off tests, not ongoing monitoring
  • No refunds outside MailerCheck-caused outages
  • No independently verifiable third-party rating found during this research pass

MailerCheck alternatives

  • ZeroBounce — a larger verification incumbent with its own deliverability toolkit and a longer public review history.
  • NeverBounce — bulk and real-time verification with tiered volume pricing that MailerCheck's flat credit model doesn't offer.
  • Bouncer — verification-focused competitor that also markets toxicity scoring for list quality.
  • Emailable — a similarly credit-based verifier often compared on price per address.
  • GlockApps — a dedicated inbox placement and spam testing tool if placement testing, specifically, is the priority over verification.

Who should use MailerCheck — and who shouldn't

Good fit: anyone already on MailerLite who wants verification without a second vendor relationship; cold outreach teams that want to scrub a purchased or scraped list before a campaign and spot-check placement afterward; low-to-moderate volume senders who don't mind flat per-credit pricing.

Poor fit: high-volume senders who need continuous DMARC or blocklist monitoring rather than one-off tests — that's a different product category; teams verifying very large lists repeatedly, where a competitor's volume discount would save real money; anyone who needs a documented third-party track record before committing budget, since that evidence isn't publicly available yet.
