Prospeo sells B2B contact data: verified work emails, direct mobile numbers, and a searchable people-and-company database with intent, hiring, and job-change filters on top. It began as a lean email finder and plenty of older write-ups still describe it that way — the current product and price list are both bigger. This review covers what the plans include, what a lookup really costs, and what we could confirm from outside the vendor's marketing.
| Best for | Outbound and RevOps teams wanting search, emails, and mobiles on one credit pool |
| Starting price | Free plan with 100 credits a month; paid from $49 per user per month ($37 annually) |
| Real cost per email | About $0.02 on Growth; a direct mobile costs 10 credits, so roughly $0.20 |
| Setup speed | Immediate — self-serve signup, Chrome extension, API key, no onboarding call |
| Standout feature | Intent topics and job-change signals inside the same search that returns the contact |
| Biggest caveat | Per-seat pricing on top of credits, and the vendor's FAQ says unused credits expire |
| Third-party rating | Nothing verifiable; Prospeo's homepage shows a 4.8 G2 figure with no review count |
A data vendor with a search interface. You describe an audience — by title, headcount, technology, revenue, funding, hiring activity, or intent topic — and Prospeo returns matching people whose details you reveal on demand. Searching and previewing cost nothing; credits are consumed only on reveal or export.
Prospeo advertises 300M+ contacts and 125M+ verified mobiles on its pricing page, while the homepage cites 280M contacts and 143M verified emails. Those are vendor figures, they don't agree with each other, and neither is auditable from outside — as with the claimed 98% accuracy and 30% mobile pick-up rate, treat them as marketing until your own bounce logs say otherwise. Emails reportedly pass three checks: SMTP probing, observed sending outcomes, and BounceBan filtering.
One credit unit covers everything: a verified email is 1 credit, a direct mobile is 10 credits with the matching email included, and a company export is 1 credit. Credits are allocated per user per month and pooled across seats. Annual buyers get the full year upfront — the vendor's example is a Pro subscriber receiving 180,000 credits on day one.
| Plan | Monthly, per user | Annual, per user/month | Credits per user/month | Effective cost per email |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 100 | — |
| Starter | $49 | $37 | 1,000 | $0.049 / $0.037 |
| Growth | $99 | $74 | 5,000 | $0.020 / $0.015 |
| Pro | $249 | $187 | 15,000 | $0.017 / $0.012 |
The numbers that bite are the ones outside the sticker:
Also worth checking at checkout: the shipped pricing configuration is inconsistent about Starter, listing 1,000 credits in one field and 2,000 in another. We used the conservative figure above.
Plan structure, prices, credit allowances, consumption rates, add-on tiers, and the feature split across the four plans all came directly from Prospeo's live pricing data.
Independent sentiment is another matter. G2, Trustpilot, and Capterra all blocked automated access, and we found no accessible discussion threads with meaningful volume. Prospeo displays a 4.8 G2 badge on its own site, but with no review count attached that figure tells you little, and the homepage testimonials are reposted LinkedIn content the vendor selected — positioning, not evidence.
So, plainly: there is no independent review base we can point you to. That is not a criticism, and not a reason to avoid the tool — it is a reason to use the free plan first. A hundred credits is enough to run known-good contacts through the finder and count how many come back correct.
Pros
Cons
Good fit: small outbound teams wanting one vendor for list building, email, and dials without stitching a waterfall together; RevOps people enriching a CRM on a schedule; developers who want a credit-metered API rather than a seat-based enterprise contract.
Poor fit: teams needing heavy phone coverage at scale, where the 10-credit multiplier makes a phone specialist cheaper; organizations needing many read-only seats, since everything is priced per user; and anyone who requires published, independently reviewed performance data before signing — that evidence doesn't currently exist here, and no amount of vendor copy substitutes for your own test on the free plan.
