The tool listed here as User.com now resolves to Positive User, a rebrand of Sarbacane operated by Positive Groupe France. If you came looking for the marketing automation product that previously owned this domain, the branding, packaging, and price list are different today. This review covers what is published on the site in 2026, what that pricing really costs once modules are added, and what we could not independently verify.
| Best for | Mid-market marketing teams running opt-in email, SMS, and WhatsApp from one platform |
| Starting price | €69/month billed annually (Campaigns plan) |
| Real cost | Add-on modules bill per seat — €59 each for Sales and Customer Service, €199 for Loyalty — so seat count, not contact count, drives the bill |
| Setup speed | Self-serve signup with a free account; data and loyalty modules are sales-assisted |
| Standout feature | Genuinely broad channel coverage — email, SMS, WhatsApp, web and mobile push, mobile wallet, live chat — plus Uma, an AI agent that drafts workflows from plain-language prompts |
| Biggest caveat | The three lower marketing tiers all cap at 5,000 emails per month; you pay more for workflows, not for volume |
| Third-party rating | Not independently verified for this page; the vendor's own site cites a 4.8 Trustpilot score |
Positive User is a customer engagement suite rather than an outbound sales tool. The center of gravity is a customer data platform that unifies profiles from your website, app, and CRM, with campaign and automation layers built on top of it. Around that core sit optional modules for sales pipelines, customer service, loyalty programs, and mobile app marketing.
The channel list is unusually wide for this price bracket. Email and SMS are table stakes; WhatsApp, web push, mobile push, and mobile wallet passes are not. For a retail brand that wants loyalty cards in a phone wallet and WhatsApp order updates driven by the same segments as its newsletter, that consolidation is the actual pitch. The vendor advertises ISO 27001 certification and claims 45,000 customers across its platform.
Data sources feed into Contacts, the single profile store. Campaigns handles sends across channels; Automation turns journeys into visual workflows; Studio is the design layer; Analytics reports on funnels; Website Experience adds on-site personalization. An API and mobile SDK are referenced for custom event tracking, though the site publishes no detailed specifications.
Uma, the AI agent, is positioned as the shortcut through all of this — describe a multi-channel sequence in plain language and it assembles the campaign. Treat that as a vendor claim until you have run it yourself; AI workflow builders in this category vary enormously in how much cleanup they leave behind.
| Plan | Price (billed annually) | Seats | Emails/month | Workflows |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Campaigns | €69 | 1 | 5,000 | 5 |
| Marketing Automation Suite | €199 | 2 | 5,000 | 20 |
| Customer Engagement Platform | €499 | 2 | 5,000 | 100 |
| Performance | €999 | 10 | 300,000 | 100 |
| Limitless | Custom quote | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Three things about this table deserve more attention than the vendor gives them.
The email ceiling does not move until €999. Campaigns, Marketing Automation Suite, and Customer Engagement Platform all cap at 5,000 sends per month. Going from €69 to €499 buys you workflows (5 to 100), WhatsApp volume, forms, and landing pages — but not one extra email. "Unlimited contacts" on those tiers reads generously until you notice you can only mail a fraction of them each month. If you need real list volume, your entry price is the €999 Performance plan, which is where 300,000 sends and 100,000 marketing contacts appear.
Add-ons bill per seat, and they compound. Sales, Customer Service, and Mobile App Marketing are €59 per seat per month each; Loyalty Program is €199 per seat per month. On the €499 Customer Engagement Platform with its two included seats, switching on all four modules for both seats adds €752 per month — bringing the real total to €1,251, two and a half times the sticker price. Loyalty alone is €398 for those two seats. Budget by seats and modules, not by plan name.
Prices are in euros, at annual-billing rates. A monthly-billing rate was not listed on the pricing page we checked, and US buyers should account for currency movement. Seat overage pricing is not published either, which matters because seats multiply every add-on.
A separate Newsletter Suite carrying rapidmail branding starts at €15/month, with a €20 pay-as-you-go single campaign option. It is a much simpler product, packaged around a small number of campaign sends per month.
Plan names, prices, limits, and modules all come from the vendor's live site and are current as of this writing.
User sentiment is another matter. We found no accessible body of independent reviews for the product under its current Positive User branding with a review count large enough to be meaningful. The 4.8 Trustpilot figure is a claim on the vendor's own homepage, and because the company has just rebranded from Sarbacane, it is unclear how much of that score reflects the platform sold today versus its predecessor. Older reviews written about User.com describe different packaging and different pricing, so they are a poor guide to what you would buy now.
We are not going to manufacture criticism to fill that gap. The honest position: features and pricing are verifiable, the reputation of the current package is not yet, and a rebrand this recent is fair grounds to ask for references in your industry before signing an annual contract.
Pros
Cons
Good fit: European mid-market retail, ecommerce, and services brands that want email, SMS, WhatsApp, and loyalty running off one profile store; teams that value data residency and ISO 27001 certification; companies whose complexity is in journey logic rather than raw send volume.
Poor fit: high-volume senders, who hit the 5,000-email ceiling immediately and face a jump to €999; large teams, since per-seat module pricing punishes headcount; buyers who want a verifiable third-party track record for the exact product they are purchasing; and anyone doing cold outbound, which this platform is not designed or priced for.
